PVTA Accomplishments
PVTA Past accomplishments: include the Valley Loop, Happy Trail, Back Pains, Live Like Lisa (formerly called Stimulus), Rudy's, and the Mount Currie hiking trail, among countless more of your favourite trails. Chances are if you're on a trail in the Pemberton Valley it has either been built or maintained by the PVTA.
For the coming winter seasons we are also proud to offer our recently launched XC partnership program offering both classic and skate tails within the Pemberton Valley. News just in Big Sky Golf will be our cross country ski partner for winter 2022/203 with both classic and skate ski routes available!
The Pemberton Valley has a history of trails going back to the first footpaths created by the Lil’wat people. Over the years the network has grown to include a variety of multi-use trails for horseback riding, hiking, running, motor bikes and mountain biking. Many of these trails have been built by tireless volunteers as well as through paid builds funded by community groups such as the PVTA. As the trail system in Pemberton grew there became a need to come up with a comprehensive strategy and plan for the network. The Pemberton Master Plan was the document that came out of this multi year process and is an important resource when thinking about building a trail. A Trails Working Group containing many of the various stakeholders was formed to help continue to guide the Trail Planning process in Pemberton.
