Let's talk, we can help
The PVTA are here to support the trails, the greater community and those who use them. By working together the PVTA can plan for increased use and better manage the trails to keep them in great condition. Another benefit of working together is the PVTA can help share your trail related event through an event listing on our events page and make a Community Notification through our Facebook and Instagram social media channels.
We can help
- Contact us to ensure that your event or usage doesn't conflict with other operations and fits within our sustainable use parameters.
- Permit applications with the Village of Pemberton will be needed for site use, we can help put you in touch with the relevant people to get the ball rolling.
- Letters of support are usually needed for permit applications, we can help.
- Course routes and figuring out best trails to use can be tricky, we know the trail network, that's our jam.

Check what to consider before you host
- The Líl̓wat community are the historic land stewards and ensuring that they are engaged with and provided an opportunity to comment is important to any respectful event being hosted on their traditional territories. The PVTA can help you reach out and also link you with local indigenous groups.
- Read up on any permits you may require: Natural Resource Online Services portal and contact your local Rec Sites and Trails BC branch to obtain permits.
- Insurance. Ensure that you have appropriate insurance and have named the PVTA as 'additional insured' in your Comprehensive General Liability insurance.
- Safety Plan. Pemberton SAR and Ambulance Service should be included in your event Safety Plan and be notified.
- Supporting community. Consider setting recommendations for participants who are based out of town to stay in Pemberton would be welcomed. In addition consider using local catering for race and post race refreshments, some sort of meaningful use of local businesses or contribution.
- PVTA annual Corporate Membership: $300 per organization. This is a great way to get your membership, support the trails and showcase your businesses good deeds with your logo on our website & socials. 5% of all membership fees will go directly back to the Líl̓wat Culture Heritage and Language Authority (LCHLA)
- PVTA trail user donation: $5 per participant. This is a suggested donation that will help us keep the trails in excellent condition so you can continue to use them for commercial purposes.
- Finally we'd appreciate it if as part of the sign up information, that it is offered to participants to become members of either PORCA (if they are MTN bikers) or the PVTA (PORCA membership includes PVTA membership).
