Harvesting Activities in Mackenzie Basin on are ongoing. The Mackenzie Basin FSR has been plowed, 4x4/chains currently recommended if driving this road. There is still snow covering the ground at the block locations.Harvesting activities in the blocks will be ongoing until approximately March 1st, 2022. During harvesting activities, the Mackenzie Basin Forest Service Road may be closed for short periods of time to ensure safety during harvesting activities.
Hauling logs from the blocks will commence approximately March 15th through April 7th.

When hauling begins please ensure extreme caution while driving when logging trucks are present. Descending/loaded logging trucks always have the right-of-way.  Trail Crossing signs will be installed at all trail / FSR intersections prior to hauling to alert logging truck drivers of trail locations and potential for cycling traffic to appear on the roadways.  Please obey all signage and temporary closures and do not enter active logging areas.  Please do not obstruct passage of harvesting equipment on the Mackenzie Basin FSR when parking.
NOTE: Access to the lower entrance of Xtratron will not be available during the period of harvest activities between February 20, 2022 until - approx March 1st.
